I first held a camera in my hands when I photographed senior portraits for a few of the kids I was mentoring.

These senior sessions sparked passion in me for this art form, and as I got older and began to travel, I fell in love with the art of photography. I realized that images hold enormous power in telling stories. I wanted nothing more than to be able to capture these stories and see them come to life in front of me. Thus, Katelyn Kristine Photography was born! Now I travel across Washington State, the PNW, and beyond as a wedding and elopement photographer.

My purpose always begins and ends with people (hint: that’s where you come in!)

Photography is a gift I share with people like yourself. I want to capture photos at your wedding or elopement in Washington State and beyond that will bring you right back to your moment, that feeling, that person, that is so important in your story. I would count it a privilege to be your wedding photographer.

A few years ago, I lost a longtime friend to cancer - one of the most excruciating experiences of my life. Rachel and I had dreamed of entering the wedding industry together-- she as a planner and I as a photographer. She cheered for me and believed in my craft before I did. When we lost her and I got to keep going and she didn’t, I resolved to give back a percentage of all of my shoots to the Rachel Lynn Henley Foundation . This is the heart and soul of my business, this is why I do what I do.

Today I am a Washington-based, though my dream is to become a traveling wedding photographer telling love stories at weddings and elopements around the world through pictures . I want to be a voice that reminds our world that there is still so much love, and so many reasons to celebrate.
